Prayer for July 1, 2021

Forgiving God, you remind us what we can have when we are truly repentant.  Help us to be forgiving of those who hurt us expecting that when they repent they are as true in theirs as we are when we repent of our sins to you. May we be strengthened by our willingness to forgive.  Allow us to recognize that while there may be some who take advantage of that act knowing that others will become forgiving as well.  Let us respond in a way that follows your model of unconditional love and compassion to all we meet and as a people forgiven, healed and renewed.  Amen
