Prayer for July 9, 2021

O God of all Creation, you created us with two ears and one mouth.  I was taught by my grandfather that meant I was  supposed to listen twice as much as I spoke.   May I take the time to hear what this day has to offer and not let my need to speak into the silence overtake the lesson I am to learn by listening. Let me be fully present to those around me and hear all that they have to say rather than listen long enough to formulate a response.  Let me be what others truly need and attempt to give the best of me to this day.  May your peace guide me this day and every day.  Amen
