Prayer for July 10,2021

Forgiving God, help us when we struggle to forgive.  There are times when the pain or anger we feel from what someone has done to or against us is still too real to us.  In fact, there is evil and it drains our energy for love and compassion.  May we not give that power over how we respond to evil and let us instead look toward how we can respond in love.  Let us overcome the evil that some do by not giving them what they want in our response.  Instead, let us be the better, loving and caring people who may one day be the people who bring evil doers to repentance and your redemption.  Amen.
