Prayer for July 19, 2021

May I see this day from the eyes of a child, O God.  Let me laugh like an infant who has just discovered what it is to feel and share extreme joy.  Give me the imagination of a toddler who is beginning to build castles and make up words that no one understand but themselves.  Allow me to find the passion of a young person who is learning to read and paint pictures of that story in their mind.  May I have the intense curiosity of a child watching them move from something they don’t understand to the epiphany of figuring it out.  May I never lose the desire to learn new things.  May the blessing of all that being a child brings never leave me fully.  Amen
