Prayer for August 16, 2021

Monday God, as many begin a new work week and others begin a new school week, help us to be excited about what is before us.  May we find joy and wonder this week, learn new things and develop new passions.  May we live this day and week as fully as possible.  Help us to be present to the world around us and the people with whom we gather.  Give us an awareness of when we are placed to minister to and care for others and help us to respond as you would have us.  Let this beginning day of the week be the foundation upon the rest of this week.  May we make a good start with the hope and expectation of a fantastic week.  All this we ask in the name of the God who is with us always.  Amen
