Prayer for August 15, 2021

Spirit of God come among us in the Diocese of Upper South Carolina as we prepare to elect our next bishop.  Yesterday the slate was announced of the nominees.  We thank you God for the ministry of Andrew Waldo in his season as our bishop.  As we prepare for the election bless the ministries of all who were a part of the process and especially those of the nominees and any who may be nominated by petition.  Help us to listen to you as we meet the nominees and when we gather to elect the ninth bishop of our diocese.  May your presence fill us and guide us now and always.  Amen.
