Today marks the anniversary of one of the most famous pictures from VJ Day in WWII
May we look for days when there is an end to war and hatred, O Lord. Let us find ways to celebrate the days of peace when we have them. May we love one another as you have loved us. We pray for all the places that are still in conflict and ask that your Holy Spirit change the hearts of those who are fighting and have them find a pathway to peace. Give us an awareness of the needs of others and may we look for ways to make peoples lives better and use our gifts for your glory. All this we ask in the name of the God of Peace. Amen
