Prayer for September 3, 2021

Patient and Redeeming God, help us when our anxiety and fear make us deaf.  We get so afraid that we lock up and are unable to listen to reason or one another.  May we move to a point of calm to where we can hear your voice of love in those with whom we interact.  May our own anxieties not control us so much that we miss what we need to hear and do. Give us the empathy needed to understand where others are in their journeys and walk their paths with them for a while so that we can move beyond our fears of one another to a place of Grace.  All this we ask in the name of the God who forgives, heals and redeems.  Amen
