Prayer for September 9, 2021

Compassionate God, today we remember the Martyrs of Memphis who, like our brave medical caregivers cared for very sick people during an outbreak of yellow fever.  May we honor those who put their lives on the line daily to care for the sick.  Let our actions in support of them be more than words.  We ask that you protect them during this time when they are caring for so many. Be with their families who are worried about the dangers they face.  Give us the passion to fight for the protection of all who are endangered by this pandemic.  Bless us and keep us well.  Amen
