Thank you God for our animal companions.  They give us the unconditional love that we need so often.  They are our sounding boards and shoulders to cry on.  May we treat the with that same love.  Protect those animals who are stray and in shelters.  May they find forever homes where they can share their love.  Let us support those people and institutions that work to help those animals in need.  All this we ask in the name of the God of all Creation.  Amen.
