Prayer for September 25, 2021

Today Guiding God, we of the Diocese of Upper South Carolina are asking your Holy Spirit to guide us as we elect a new Bishop. We are fortunate to have five incredible candidates who have given so much of themselves throughout this process.  May we celebrate the incredible gifts of each of them as we gather to listen to you O God.  Let each of the candidates know that they were all incredible gifts to the church and our process.  Their willingness to put so much of themselves and their passions in our mutual discernment is truly following God’s call.  As one of them begins their new ministry as our Bishop, may every one of them that is continuing in their current ministry know that the church is blessed by their incredible talents.  May all of their continued ministries be blessed.
