So many of us grew up watching TV shows that became iconic. On this day in 1964 one of the most famous of shows debuted, Gilligan’s Island. We all learned what can happen in a three hour tour.
O Lord our God, help us as we cherish our memories of what we may remember as a protected youth. We want to remember the innocence that we like to think we had and hope that our children experience the same. Let us protect the young as long as we can and comfort them when they eventually find out that the world is imperfect. May we do our best to live our lives trying to love others so much that a better world exists. Allow us the chance to laugh and love. May we share those gifts with others. Amen
