Prayer for October 1, 2021

The world, O God, tends to ask us to be competitive over cooperative and selfish over sharing.  You, however, call us to live our lives in a completely different way.  From the beginning of creation you set the expectation that we love one another as you love us.  You want all our actions be measured by how it expresses love for one another.  Time and again you remind us of the power of love for our neighbor.  May we use this day to live in love as you love us and share that love with all we meet.  All this we ask in your most Holy Name.  Amen
