Prayer for October 7, 2021

Thank you, ever-present God, for our friends and family.  Whether they have been with us for our entire lives or for a short time, they help ground us and make us know we are not alone.  May we let them know this day and everyday how much their presence means to us.  Give us an appreciation for the incredible gift you gave us in having people who love us.  May we cherish them and be for them what they have been for us in our times of joy and need.  The time in which we find ourselves has been hard for us to have the community we desperately need, and challenged us in so many ways.  Let us work hard to let those we love so much know how much we love them.  All this we pray in the name of the God who loves us all.  Amen
