Prayer for December 1, 2021

Today is the day O God that many families begin the tradition of the advent calendar, marking the 25 days of Christmas. As we anticipate to celebration of Jesus birth in Bethlehem, may we take the time to remember what is most important about the season. We are celebrating the reality that God loved us so much that he would come among us, journey with us proclaiming a message of love and forgiveness. May we work to follow his example in anticipation of the time when we too will sit at the heavenly banquet. Bless us all now and always. Amen
