Prayer for December 9, 2021

This season O God is challenging for so many. There are stresses that we cannot make it as special as we would like it to be for the youngest among us, and just simply to live up to our own expectations. Help us to know that we need only love those around us and give them what we are able. May those few jerks in the world not affect our attempt to live as you have called us. Let us respond in love in a way that overcomes the evil that some are called to perpetuate. Let us have the strength to treat even those who we struggle to forgive as beloved children of God and give them the love that we want when we make mistakes and need redemption. Continue to transform us, O God, and help us to become more complete in your eyes. Amen
