Prayer for December 29, 2021

Many days, Loving God, our prayers are about things we desire. May we be more aware of the needs of others than our own wants. Help us to find ways that we can serve others and provide for those who are in poverty. May we work toward a world where people have more than the basic needs. We have the ability to make certain that no one wants for water, food, shelter or education. Let us be the generation that focuses our resources on making good happen and making the violence of distrust disappear. Give us the strength to overcome our fear, anxiety and prejudices as a we journey toward a better world. All this we ask in the name of the one who gave his all for us. Amen
