Prayer for January 2, 2022

You spoke to Joseph in a dream, calling him to take his young adoptive child and wife to escape to Egypt while Herod searched for the infant Jesus. Help us to hear you when your Holy Spirit calls us to act. May we know that your guidance comes in many forms and be willing to respond when that voice speaks to us. Give us an awareness of those times when you are calling us to be the voice in the wilderness, or the prophet to those around us and burn your words on our tongues at those times. You have given each of us gifts we are meant to use, let us know when we are to use them and guide us this and everyday. Amen.
