Prayer for January 23, 2022

You proclaimed the year of Jubilee, O God, and announced what our mission should be in how we respond to those in need. It was proclaimed in Isaiah and by you that we should work toward a world that looks out for the poor, the oppressed, the sick and imprisoned. Help us to become Jubilee people. May we find ways to make this year the year of our God’s favor. At this time and at this place the world needs us to become who you would have us be and provide hope, support and love when it seems like all is falling apart around us. Give us the strength and wherewithal to work toward a better reality for all of us and show that we are focused on making others lives better. May your blessings and guidance be with us this and everyday. Amen
