Prayer for February 1, 2022

Thank you Loving God for those who made us feel welcomed and loved when they had no idea how much we needed it at that moment. Let those who were there for the uncomfortable freshman coming to decorate the homecoming float be surprised that they knew your name to the parent who gave that encouraging word that helped you make it through a challenging day know that decades later we still remember those times as seminal in our lives. May we be that same person to young people at similar times. Let all we do this and every day be a response to the love that you have shown us by your love and the love shown to us by others unbeknownst to the love they were showing at the time. Amen.
