Prayer for April 10, 2022

I have always loved Holy Week, O God of all our experiences. This week has so many ups and downs and expresses all our emotions of joy, hope, despair and atonement. May we live into each of the days this week provides so that we can fully understand the Easter moment that we enjoy one week from today. Let us fully feel all that the triumphant entry into Jerusalem that so many felt, not knowing what would happen a few days later. May we also know what it is to feel the abandonment and loss that Jesus must have felt in the strange 24 hours from Maundy Thursday into that fateful Friday. Let us be fully prepared for the amazing day and forgiveness that awaits us. Give us your blessing this and every day. Amen.
