Prayer for May 6, 2022

There are only so many next days we have in our lives, O God. Some of them are after times of celebration and others times of mourning. Let us be fully present to those who are suffering. Give us the words to not only comfort them, but know that they are not alone in their journey. May we be patient and present to the people we meet today and everyday because we do not know the burdens they carry and are called to treat them as beloved. Help us to be who you would have us be, Loving God, and fill us with your spirit. Amen
