We remember today the people who are in challenging times in their lives. Help them to know that we personally care, and want to be present for them in whatever way we can. May they feel your presence as well, O God. Too often, we keep our anxieties and pains hidden from those around us and are unwilling to ask for help. Remind us, Loving God, that you purposely makes us need community and love. May we be open to the people you place on our path who want to journey with us through those times when we feel most alone. May we also be able to discern and respond when we are to be that for those around us. Let us relish in the gift that is the unconditional love you give, and attempt to love others in that same way. Amen
