Prayer for July 15, 2022

Thank you O God of all Creation, for the sounds of the earth. Waking up to the drizzle of the rain is incredibly comfortable. It makes one want to simply stay under the covers and relish in the sound. When we get to walk out into the silence of snow falling we can feel the purity that we see in the snow falling around us. When we see lightning and count the seconds before the thunder to see how far away it is, we live in anticipation of what wonder is to become and look again to see where it might flash next. What a blessing it is to experience the weather with joy and wonder. Help us to experience all your creation with the same emotion and fascination we do the obvious ones. Amen.
