Prayer for July 21, 2022

Help us to care for one another unconditionally. May we be willing to give of ourselves for the simple reason that you have called us to love one another as you have loved us. Give us an awareness of when those around us are in need, and an empathy for the burdens that others might be carrying. May we truly give in a way that our right hand does not know what our left is doing. Let us release our need to control outcomes and simply give for the sake of giving. May our stewardship response be one that measures up to the blessings we know we have received. While we may never be able to completely live into this, help us to get one step closer each new day. Allow us to know what it is to give all that we are and all that we have because we believe, if only for a little while at a time. Amen.
