Prayer for July 23, 2022

Empowering God, may we celebrate those who step up to volunteer to serve others. Be with them as they often do thankless work to make people have better lives. May we be encouraged to follow in the footsteps of those who have lived lives where service above self was more than a catchphrase and begin our own ministry to the wider community. Help us to see the needs around us and respond to them. May our lives be a testimony of what it is to love one another so deeply that others feel empowered to follow a path that leads to a far better world. All this we ask in the name of the one who called us to serve one another. Amen.
