Prayer for August 8, 2022

It is that time of year, O God, when teachers and other school employees are putting on the final preparations for the school year. Be with them some experience the anxiety, stress, timelines and start of the year dreams that often come this time of year. Help them to know that they will find their classrooms, they are well prepared, and the students are ready to learn. May they feel the wonderful excitement that the first part of the school year brings. Give them a sense of the wonder that many children feel when they learn and master new concepts and ideas. Help them to see the incredible gift they are to the schools in which they teach. May we honor them for the truly wonderful people they are and be thankful for all they give to the community. Bless them this and every day. Amen
