Prayer for September 1, 2022

Help us, O God, to look out for the people who without power. May we be the ones who stand up for the people whose voices aren’t heard, those who are pushed to the side and treated as other. Give us the strength to say that it is not ok for those around us to exercise predjudices and to stand up to tyrannies that continue to fester in our society. Instead, Loving God, may our compassion and empathy be how we are identified. Allow our actions and our passion for others flow through us and make us fully your people. Amen
