Prayer for September 9, 2022

We thank you God, for the incredible example of a life well lived by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second. She served her country and her position with honor and distinction. We pray for her son King Charles III as he follows her example and begins his time as monarch. May the people of the United Kingdom feel your presence, O God, as many of them begin a new day without a presence that has been a part of their whole lives. May the world take the time to celebrate the good in the world and honor the example of great people when we are blessed to live among them. Rest eternal grant to her O Lord. Amen
