May we know the joy of giving of ourselves without expectation of something in return, Loving God. Help us to see what we have, our possessions and talents as more than what it can provide ourselves and to see what using them in service to others can do to make this world a better place. May we learn about the difference between truly giving in love and bartering. Allow us to look into the eyes of those around us and see you, O God. Let us become closer and closer to you by how we welcome the stranger in our midst. May we find ways to communicate your love to those we don’t always understand, yet are called to serve. May your Spirit fill us this and everyday. Amen.
