Prayer for September 17, 2022

As we are challenged by who you would call us to be, and who our society seems to want us to become, Loving God. May we rise to that challenge. May we welcome those who are refugees, those who are poor, those who are sick and those who are struggling to find someone who will love them for who they are. Let us move beyond the labels that we so easily use to box people in. Help us to call out the Pharisees and Heretics of our current age when they attempt to use you to continue messages of hate in your name. May they be struck down in their attempt to usurp your Gospel. All this we ask in your name. Amen
