Prayer for October 1, 2022

Help us, O God, to express our gratefulness for all you have given us by how we treat those we encounter. May our love for you show in how we love others. Let us be willing to slow down enough to listen and respond to the needs of those around us. Allow us to be comfortable with what we have and not feel the need to seek more than we need. Help us to see your spirit in the eyes of the people we meet and greet them with the same kind of joy and wonder that we have when we feel your presence acutely. All this we ask in the name of the God who wants our joy to be complete. Amen
