Prayer for October 2, 2022

This week has been a challenging one for so many, Loving God. May we be more this next week. More patient with those we encounter, more aware of the challenges people face, more loving to the strangers in our midst, more giving of ourselves in response to the needs around us. We ask that the peoples and communities that have been uprooted by the storms feel your presence and that we do what we can to support them with our own resources. Be with the leaders of those communities, this state and our nation as they respond to this powerful storm. May all of us put aside our differences and simply love one another as you love us and become the ministers to one another to which you have called us. Amen
