Prayer for October 6, 2022

We thank you, O God for the elders you have given us. For our Grandparents, who showed us unconditional love and support, we are grateful. For the ones who adopted us as family when others were far away or no longer with us, we are blessed. We are so blessed by the lessons they have taught us over the years by sharing their experiences, their knowledge and simply their loving presence. May we, as we become the elders in our time celebrate the lessons we once learned at their knees and show the same kind of love and grace that we received in our time. Help us to know the blessing of giving so fully of ourselves when our time comes. Amen.
