Prayer for October 7, 2022

Help us, Loving God, to not over complicate our lives. We have a tendency to make things much more intricate than they need be and the stress that follows often makes things unbearable. May we try instead to make things as simple and straightforward as possible. Let our actions build the trust others so desire and thus create a foundation upon which love and compassion can combat the distrust that seems to be running rampant in our daily dialogue. Let this day be one filled with a sense of renewal and forgiveness both by us and for us. Amen
