Prayer for October 9, 2022

May we take the time to thank people more, O God. So often we are so busy worrying about getting whatever we want that we forget to recognized all that went into what we are receiving. The people who make our lives better, who do the things that we don’t have to do, who have skills we do not, and simply work doing tough jobs, deserve our appreciation. May we go out of our way to show how grateful we are for the work that others do for us. Let us become more aware of the many gifts we have received without expectation of something in return and take the time to let others know their efforts are noticed and that we thank them for what they have done. May we also be thankful for all you provide that we often take for granted. Amen
