Prayer for October 21, 2022

Be with those people who find themselves working way beyond the traditional work week, O God. There are people for whom much of their job requires a 24/7 accessibility. May they find time to rest each day. Help them to know when they need to focus on self care and to take time off when things slow down and to find Sabbath when and where they are able. For those who love them, help them to see when they are getting run down and insist they step away if only for a day or two. May we who work with these people encourage them and support them in the ways that we are able. All this we ask in your Most Holy Name. Amen.
