Prayer for November 11, 2022

We remember, O God, those who answered the call when our country asked. The people who as very young men and women decided to mange a pledge to protect and serve the United States in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and now Space Force. Thank you for your example of being willing to give all so that others might be saved and protected. May we honor them and the families that supported them in their service to our country. May we take this day to simply say thank you for all who wrote that check and took the pledge to serve. Protect those who are serving now and may there come a day when we don’t have to ask people to make the kinds of sacrifices they are willing to endure. All this we ask in the name of the Redeeming God, Jesus Christ. Amen
