Prayer for November 26, 2022

As family starts to trickle back to their homes, I am grateful O God, for the fact that we can gather and celebrate with one another. The past few years have taught us to cherish the moments we have with those we love. May they travel home safely and know that they are loved deeply. Allow us to look back on the time we have spent together as the wonderful gift it has been. May we who have now become the place where our children come to visit honor that generational change and seek to create wonderful memories like those we have from when we were the ones who traveled to see our extended family to our childhood homes. May we also be grateful for the new chosen family that is becoming part of ours and look to the family that we will become in the years ahead with anticipation of wonderful moments with one another. May your continued blessings rain down upon all of us. Amen.
