Prayer for December 24, 2022

As the sun sets this evening many will be gathering to celebrate the Nativity of the Christ Child. May we, O God of All remember all that your coming to walk among us means. The fact that you would come to the world you created, and we often destroy, in order that we might be transformed and made new and whole again in spite of our disobedience is the ultimate act of Grace. May we take this day to rejoice in the love that you have shown for us and once again hear the story of your birth. Let us use this season to renew our commitment to one another and seek to serve others. Help us to be aware of the example we provide to show love to the world around us and to act when so placed. May your blessings fill us now and always. Amen.
