Prayer for December 25, 2022

May this day be filled with joy and laughter, Loving Jesus. As we celebrate your birth and all the implications that beings the world, may we relish in the wonder of new birth. Help us to see the world with the excitement and thirst for new experiences that seem to come so easily to a child. Helps us to remember the epiphanies we have had in our lives and cherish the times of incredible energy we have felt when we have expanded the boundaries of our expectations and had faith that you would lead us. May we continue to imagine and work toward a world that is filled with love for one another so strongly that the seeds of hatred, bigotry and fear don’t have a chance to germinate. Give those who are struggling the help they need, and help us to recognize your presence in the world around us. Let us fully comprehend what your willingness to walk among us means to this still broken world and seek to transform our lives into a new reality. All this we ask in the name of the one who is born in Bethlehem. Amen
