Prayer for December 26, 2022

May peace prevail this day, Loving God. On this second day of Christmas and the Feast of Saint Stephen, may we find ways to turn swords into plowshares. Give us the imagination to see a world where the resources we have devoted to destruction and war are redistributed toward creating those things that enhance our world rather than destroy it. May we look to those things that heal over items whose sole purpose is to kill. Give us an awareness of the impact we have on others and may our actions be focused on those things that help love to grow. All this we ask in your name O God. Amen
