Prayer for December 27, 2022

Help us to celebrate this season where families and friends seem to want to gather, O God who calls us to community. May we share the stories of our lives from the times we last met, and reminisce about the times that we had with one another and those who are no longer with us. Let us share our lives so fully that people they never met but are important to who we are become a part of their stories. Allow us to continue the stories that are important to one another and to see the value of those memories living on from one generation to another. Let us show our love for one another by how we value what makes those we care about unique. May your love and spirit fill us now and always. Amen
