Prayer for January 18, 2023

Sometimes it is hard to focus, Guiding God. We are pushed in so many directions, and often feel as if we are simply riding a continuous wave over which we have little control. We are tossed back and forth by our desire to be so many things and will often look back on days and weeks wondering where it has gone and whether we were as successful as we would have liked to have been in accomplishing our tasks. Help us, O God, to take the time to refocus and determine the plans we need in order to limit the chaos that often marks our lives. May we learn the value of reflection and respite so that we can see the world with better clarity. Empower us this and everyday to take control of our lives. Guide us now and always. Amen.
