Let us celebrate love today, O God. May we look to ways to show that we love those around us in our words and actions. Help us to go out of our way to express our desire to make this world more peaceful and forgiving. We are waking to news of yet another mass shooting, may we recognize the need to change how we deal with gun violence. Give our leaders the wherewithal to say that the current response of doing nothing is not working and make the necessary changes to how we prevent these hateful acts. Let our mutual love for one another overcome the fear, anxiety and hate and turn the weapons into plowshares. May we feel your presence now and always. Amen
