Today, O God, is a day when I will celebrate two lives well lived with their families and friends. Be with all of them as they both mourn and celebrate them. May this day honor the many people who have been formed by the love and attention by them. Let us live each day showing the same love to the people we meet knowing that we are continuing the love that we received from those who have gone before us when we share it with others. Amen.
