Prayer for April 14, 2023

May parents of small children feel your presence, O God. There are many sleepless nights for them especially when they are so young that the children cannot care for themselves. Help parents when they are confused, Loving God, to figure out why they are upset when they are too young to communicate their need and not be frustrated when they cannot figure it out quickly. As they grow, may we all celebrate the milestones that mark successes for both the parents and the children. May those who find themselves dealing with children alone (whether it is temporary or permanent) find support and love from their friends, neighbors and community. May we be supportive of those parents who are in need in any way we can by showing your love to one another. All this we ask in your name. Amen
