Prayer for May 1, 2023

Help me to focus today, O God. It is easy to be distracted by the myriad things that I encounter in a day, so help me to prioritize those things that I want to accomplish. Let be open enough to your Spirit guiding me that I can change course if necessary, and discerning enough to know the difference between your call and my desires. May this day be filled with energy, passion and love. Allow me to use my gifts in ways that lift people up and lets them know how much they mean to me. If I encounter strangers, may I be welcoming to them. May I see the opportunities that are before me and respond gratefully to all this day has to offer. Amen
