December 3, 2023

We find ourselves once again O God at the beginning of another Church year. Help us to use this time of anticipation of the day when we celebrate Christ’s birth to look at ourselves in the mirror. May we take the many gifts you have given us and use them to fulfill our desires as may be best for us. Let us see the world again with new eyes. Give us an awareness of what is next and confidence in the hope that is growing within us to become the next great person you know exists in us. May we look to those around us and share the love you have for us with them encouraging them on the journey we are walking together for a time. We know that there will be people coming and going in our lives over the next year. May we celebrate the gift of their presence while they are with us and learn from them. Help us to build upon the experiences of our past and create a present that is filled with promise and love. May your Spirit guide us now and always. Amen

    1. Ellyn, Thank you so much. I have been taking a break from writing daily prayers. I may start again. I will have to look at that one again. I hope you are well. Abby is engaged and will be getting married in 2025. Audrey is loving life in Chicago. Miss you all. Father Grant
