Prayer for April 13, 2026

Help us to lower the temperature, Loving God.  May our leaders take the time to think about the ramifications that exist by continuing down the paths they are currently following.  Help them, who often are not truly affected by the decisions they make, to focus on what their decisions do the the least fortunate and vulnerable.  May their focus change from one of saber rattling toward becoming peacemakers.  May those who attempt to use your Name to justify morally challenging actions be called out for misuse of your command that we love our enemies.  May we change the focus toward healing those breaches that divide us, and use our many gifts and blessings to make this world better.  All this we ask in the name of the God who calls us to love one another. Amen
